My Outlook calendar has been marked for over a year now, just waiting to set the bells and whistles in action by sending me an alert. The day is here, at last. The One World, One Heart Blog Tour has begun. I had so much fun doing this last year and I really DID meet a few folks I've been getting to know in blogland since participating. I also won a wonderful prize which I really treasure.
I was born to an artist mother and just grew up with the family trait, I guess. A couple of my grandkids seem to be following along our path. I can't remember a day when I wasn't creating something unless I was just plain sick. I even travel with a little bag of handiwork. For many years I worked as a commercial artist doing graphics and industrial and architectural scale models, but my passion is mixed media arts and crafts and I love the concept of upcycling and recycling vintage things into new, beautiful items. Right now, I'm making a few random designs and patterning them as PDF tutorials. I'm offering one of these PDF tutorials as my giveaway.
The item is easy to make using your leftover beads, fabrics and buttons. The finished product is 6" wide by 9" long. Winner will be announced on February 17th. If you win, I will email the 11 page photographic, step by step pattern to you, so make sure you have a contact email in your entry comment or have the address on your profile somewhere I can find it. I will also send you, via snail mail, the wire frame you will need to use as the project base.
Now, I've got a lot of traveling to do. Good luck.
