I drove my granddaughter back to Florida State this weekend after Thanksgiving break and was surprised to see her sorority house, along with all the others on sorority row, all decked out in Christmas lights. I guess it's time for me to hang my lights too.
Of course, I would never dare hang these obviously outdated, dangerously frayed strings of vintage colored lights anywhere. At least not in any traditional way.
Still, I do think they deserve the dignity of respect for all the many colorful Christmas memories they once provided, so I decided to give them a bright new future.
As sparkling Christmas Light Star Ornaments done up with a few antique glass bead trims, a piece of scrap felt and an old vintage button.
