It's easy to get burdened down with the circumstances of our lives, easy to flutter furiously through task after task in a work a day world and forget that love surrounds and sustains us. That's God's love I'm talking about. Love that never fails. Love that's invested in the details of our simple lives even when we're way too busy and frazzled to take time to contemplate or even notice. As I peered through the little viewfinder on my camera, all I could hope to do was capture a split second when my subject was not in motion. I wanted a moment of clarity when everything would be in perfect focus so I could snap.
There it was, right in front of me... stilled by the rapid speed of my shutter so, my dull eyes could see.... a message born on the wings of perpetual motion, a message of God's surrounding love. I stand amazed by those tiny hearts so perfectly placed on the underside of a butterfly's wings. Is there anything too small for God to involve himself in? Anything which escapes his notice? God is Love, surrounding. Just slow down and take a look around you today, you'll see what I mean.
